Carey is an ACE-certified personal trainer, Army Master Fitness Trainer and certified kettlebell specialist. Between more than 30 years of running and 22 years of military service, she has dealt with a number of injuries and always searched for ways to overcome the pain. Channeling her passion for a healthy, active lifestyle she began overhauling the fitness program for her unit while at the same time working on her own injury rehab and nutrition with a talented local coach. After cross-training to receive the Master Fitness Trainer certification with the Army and joining the instructor cadre for her state’s joint-service Fitness Improvement Program, she wanted to continue educating and motivating people outside of the military to become healthier versions of themselves. She pursued her civilian fitness certification through ACE and is currently working on 2 additional certifications: IFPA Sports Nutritionist and NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. Carey has recently retired from the military and still enjoys trail and road races, obstacle course races, extended ruck events and finding new ways to push her own limits.

Hey y’all, my name is Addison Owens and I am a new trainer here at The Zoo Health Club. I grew up as a competitive baton twirler for 17 years and twirled two years at Georgia Southern University before realizing that Personal Training was my calling. I’ve been working out for three years and have the biggest passion for health and fitness. Working out has tremendously helped me feel better physically but also mentally. I wanted a career that would allow me to do what I love while pouring into other people’s lives as well. My main goal is to help people become the best version of themselves and share what I’m certified to do! Hey y’all, my name is Addison Owens and I am a new trainer here at The Zoo Health Club.
